Lebak, Sultan Kudarat – In a determined effort to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs, operatives of the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) successfully implemented a search warrant operation that led to the arrest of a high-value drug suspect and the confiscation of approximately P170,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The operation, conducted at Purok Kape 1, Barangay Salaman, Lebak at around 5:00 PM on January 27, 2025, was spearheaded by the Lebak Municipal Police Station (MPS) in collaboration with the 2nd Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd SKPMFC), Provincial Drug Enforcement/Intelligence Unit, and other law enforcement agencies.
Authorities recovered 13 large sachets and 55 small sachets containing a white crystalline substance identified as shabu, with a total weight of approximately 25 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) valuation of P170,000. In addition, several drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspect.
The arrested individual, categorized as a High-Value Individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade, was immediately placed under police custody, and the confiscated evidence was brought to Lebak MPS for proper disposition. The suspect now faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Acting Provincial Director PCOL Bernard L. Lao commended the efforts of the operating units for their dedication to intensifying the anti-illegal drugs campaign in the province. He emphasized that this successful operation represents a significant step in disrupting drug distribution networks and ensuring that illicit substances do not reach their intended users.
