LEBAK, Sultan Kudarat – A man who was reportedly firing a gun in a neighborhood in Barangay Pasandalan was apprehended by authorities and later found in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to the Lebak Municipal Police Station.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Ads,” is a legal-aged resident of Barangay Kinudalan in the same municipality. Police said the suspect was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
The incident occurred in Purok Santan, Barangay Pasandalan, where concerned residents reported gunfire. Responding officers immediately proceeded to the area and confronted the suspect.
Upon his arrest, authorities conducted a search and discovered sachets of suspected illegal drugs along with drug paraphernalia in his possession.
According to the Lebak police, “Ads” has long been under surveillance and is listed as a target by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) due to his alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
The suspect is currently detained and will be facing charges for illegal possession of dangerous drugs, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and alarm and scandal.
Police authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the source of the drugs and whether the suspect is connected to a larger drug network in the province.
