Davao City, January 8, 2025 — A joint drug buy-bust operation in Digos City led to the arrest of a high-value drug suspect, identified as alias “Nonoy,” ranked as the region’s sixth top high-value individual.
The operation was conducted at Emerald Street, Purok Mahugany, Barangay Cogon, and resulted in the confiscation of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of PhP 76,840.00.
Authorities seized various pieces of evidence from the suspect’s possession, including several heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a 1000-peso bill, and a glass tooter.
The operation was spearheaded by the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) in collaboration with the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Digos City Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), the 1st Davao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st DSPMFC), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region XI (PDEA XI).
PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, Regional Director of Police Regional Office XI (PRO 11), commended the dedication and teamwork of the units involved in the successful operation. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the commitment of PRO 11 to its relentless campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
Authorities assured the public that they will continue to intensify efforts to dismantle drug networks and bring those involved in illegal drug activities to justice.
