Alabel, Sarangani – A tragic incident has shaken the community of Sitio Ihan, Datal Anggas, Alabel, as a 40-year-old farmer reportedly took his own life using an improvised firearm, locally known as a “paltik.” The victim was identified as Limbo Moda, a resident of the area.
Eyewitnesses and local sources suggest that financial difficulties may have driven Moda to take this devastating step. Prior to the incident, Moda had planned to travel to Glamang, Polomolok, South Cotabato, to borrow money, hinting at the depth of his financial struggles.
The tragic event occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025, within the victim’s home. Moda leaves behind his wife and four children, who are now grappling with the loss.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, the community mourns the loss of a father and provider.
