In a decisive anti-drug operation on November 11, 2024, law enforcement authorities in Davao City apprehended a high-value drug suspect, identified only as “Chief,” ranked as the Top 8 Regional Level High-Value Individual (HVI) in illegal drug activities. The operation took place in Purok 20, Keith Williams, Barangay Catalunan Pequeño, Davao City, resulting in the seizure of illegal drugs valued at approximately PhP 238,000.
The operation, conducted by Baliok Police Station (PS17) in collaboration with the 2nd City Mobile Force Company and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), yielded significant evidence. Recovered items included several square-shaped, heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu. Additional items confiscated included a genuine one-thousand-peso bill, a black-and-green sling bag, a white iPhone 12, and a digital weighing scale.
Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 11, PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, commended the dedication and collaborative efforts of the police and intelligence personnel in pursuing this high-value target. The operation aligns with the Philippine National Police’s intensified campaign to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
