Police Regional Office 9 (PRO 9) continues its aggressive campaign against illegal drugs with the successful arrest of two suspected drug dealers in separate buy-bust operations conducted on the evening of November 6, 2024.
The first operation, led by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 (ZCPS6), took place at Yubenco, Barangay Tetuan, at approximately 10:48 PM. The operation resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old male suspect identified as a “Street Level Individual.” Law enforcement seized eleven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP13,600. The confiscated drugs have been submitted to the Zamboanga City Forensic Unit (ZCFU9) for further analysis. The suspect is currently in police custody and will undergo legal procedures.
In a subsequent operation, the SDET of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 (ZCPS9) apprehended a 25-year-old habal-habal driver, also tagged as a Street Level Individual, in Zone-6, Barangay Ayala, around 11:50 PM. Authorities recovered two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, valued at approximately PHP4,080. The seized substances have been forwarded to ZCFU9 for examination, and the suspect remains in the custody of ZCPS9, awaiting further legal processing.
These operations are part of PRO 9’s ongoing efforts to combat the drug trade in the region. The Police Regional Office remains committed to intensifying its campaign against illegal drugs and bringing those involved to justice.
