TAGOLOAN, Misamis Oriental — The Tagoloan Municipal Police Station (MPS) scored a major victory in the fight against illegal drugs with the arrest of a high-value individual (HVI) and the confiscation of significant quantities of illegal substances during a search operation conducted on November 21, 2024, in Purok 3, San Vicente, Casinglot.
The suspect, identified as alias “Sid Deloso” or “Chuy,” a 37-year-old unemployed resident, was apprehended after authorities implemented Search Warrant No. SWA-103024-762.
During the operation, police recovered 22 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing approximately 150 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱1,020,000. Additionally, three sachets of suspected dried marijuana fruiting tops weighing around 7 grams, valued at ₱840, were seized, along with various drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had a history of drug-related offenses, having been previously arrested in 2021 for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A. No. 9165).
The confiscated items and the suspect are now in the custody of the Tagoloan MPS for documentation and legal proceedings. Authorities are preparing to file charges against the suspect for violations of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of R.A. No. 9165.
