TAGOLOAN, Misamis Oriental — Two men were arrested after police seized an estimated 40 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of ₱272,000 during a buy-bust operation in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, on September 8, 2026.

The operation was carried out at around 6:38 a.m. at Purok 2B, Barangay Casinglot, by personnel of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Police identified the arrested suspects only by their aliases, “Kulot” and “Exan.” Authorities described both men as street-level individuals and said they are residents of Barangay Casinglot.

During the operation, law enforcement personnel reportedly recovered four sachets containing suspected shabu, a cellular phone, a black belt bag, and the ₱500 buy-bust money used in the operation.

The seized substance had an estimated total weight of 40 grams and was valued at ₱272,000 based on the police-provided Standard Drug Price.

The operation forms part of continuing police efforts to disrupt the distribution of illegal drugs at the community level in Misamis Oriental. The arrest and seizure, however, remain subject to the required investigation, laboratory examination and court proceedings.

The two suspects are currently under the custody of the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and the preparation of charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

As with all drug-related arrests, the allegations against the suspects will be subject to the evidence presented during the legal proceedings, and they are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court.
