CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Anti-drug operatives arrested three suspected drug personalities and confiscated more than ₱860,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations conducted in Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro City in the early hours of March 6, authorities said.

In Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, two alleged accomplices were arrested during a buy-bust operation around 3:33 a.m. in Zone 6, Barangay Sugbongcogon.
The suspects were identified only by their aliases “Rodel,” 36, and “Shirel,” 19, both residents of the area.
According to the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the operation was carried out by joint operatives from the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office (1st PMFC MORPPO) and the 1001st Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Authorities seized approximately 7 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱47,600.
Among the confiscated items were:
- One elongated heat-sealed plastic sachet used as the buy-bust item
- Four additional elongated plastic sachets
- One large square heat-sealed sachet
- One empty plastic sachet
- A brown leather wallet
- A ₱500 bill used as marked money
The suspects were arrested immediately after the illegal drug transaction and are now under the custody of the Tagoloan MPS for documentation and the filing of charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in Cagayan de Oro City, authorities arrested another suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation conducted in Punta Macabalan also in the early hours of March 6.
The suspect was identified by police as alias “Alimodin,” 32, single and a resident of Barangay Barra, Macabalan.
The operation was led by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) Team 2 of the Philippine National Police Police Regional Office 10, with support from other PRO-10 units and in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Recovered from the suspect were about 120 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated SDP of ₱816,000.
Seized during the operation included:
- One sachet of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item worth ₱1,000
- Seven additional sachets containing suspected shabu of varying sizes
- One black pouch
- One ₱1,000 bill used as marked money
The suspect was arrested on the spot following the drug transaction and is currently detained at the Maharlika Detention Facility while awaiting the filing of appropriate charges.
Authorities said the confiscated suspected illegal drugs will be turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 10 for laboratory examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police reiterated their call for the public to continue supporting the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign by reporting suspicious activities and individuals involved in illegal drug trade within their communities.
