PRO BAR’s Anti-Drug Operations Lead to Arrest of 37 Suspects, Seize โ‚ฑ210K Worth of Illegal Drugs

Bangsamoro Region, September 23, 2024 โ€“ The Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR) continues to intensify its crackdown on illegal drug activities, successfully conducting 27 operations between September 14 and 17, 2024, as part of the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO).

The operations, conducted across various provincial and city police offices in the Bangsamoro region, led to the arrest of 35 street-level individuals (SLI) and two high-value individuals (HVI) involved in illegal drug trade. Authorities confiscated 31.894 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of โ‚ฑ210,538.00, as well as 6 grams of marijuana.

Regional Director PBGEN Prexy D. Tanggawohn praised the police units involved for their dedication and commitment. “These successful operations demonstrate the relentless efforts of our police force in keeping the Bangsamoro region safe from the scourge of illegal drugs. I commend the officers for their vigilance and call upon all units to remain resolute in this important fight.”

SACLEO is a nationwide initiative aimed at targeting illegal drug personalities, most wanted criminals, and individuals possessing loose firearms. The program plays a crucial role in maintaining peace and security across the country by disrupting criminal activities.

The recent operations underscore the effectiveness of SACLEO and highlight the PRO BAR’s ongoing commitment to ridding the Bangsamoro region of illegal substances. With sustained efforts, authorities hope to curb the proliferation of drugs and protect communities from the harmful impact of narcotics.
