Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay — A drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Buug Municipal Police Station (MPS) led to the arrest of a female suspect in Purok 3, Barangay Del Monte, Buug, on February 10, 2025, at around 3:20 PM. Authorities identified the suspect as a Street-Level Individual involved in illegal drug activities.
Police confiscated approximately 10 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php 68,000.00. Also seized during the operation were marked “budol money” and various drug paraphernalia.
The confiscated drugs will be submitted to the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Forensic Unit for further examination, while the arrested suspect has been placed under police custody at Buug MPS for proper legal proceedings.
PCOL Barnard Danie V. Dasugo, Provincial Director, reiterated the police force’s commitment to combating illegal drugs, stating, “We remain committed in our combat against illegal drugs. Our law enforcement operations remain undeterred. We encourage the public to report any suspicious activity or information related to drug trafficking.
