Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), under the dynamic leadership of PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, has successfully conducted a series of operations in its relentless fight against illegal drugs. The week-long operation, spanning from December 23 to December 29, 2024, reflects the region’s ongoing commitment to curbing the drug menace and ensuring safer communities.
In collaboration with partner agencies, PRO 11 executed 65 anti-illegal drug operations across various cities and municipalities within the region. These operations led to the arrest of 69 individuals engaged in illegal drug-related activities, including three high-value targets and 66 street-level offenders.
During the operations, law enforcement officers confiscated significant quantities of illegal substances. The seized items included Shabu, marijuana hills, and marijuana leaves, with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) estimated at PhP 616,886.32. These seizures mark a critical blow to the illegal drug trade in the region.
As part of its continued efforts to ensure legal accountability, PRO 11 has already filed 74 cases in court related to these operations. This aligns with the directives of the Chief PNP, PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, who has emphasized intelligence-driven operations, operational precision, and strengthening community partnerships in the fight against illegal drugs.
PBGEN Rosete commended the unwavering dedication of the personnel involved in the operations, highlighting the vital role of community cooperation. “These accomplishments underscore our commitment to the Philippine National Police’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs. We thank the public for their cooperation, which is vital to achieving a drug-free region,” he stated.
