Davao Region – The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), under the leadership of Regional Director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, has intensified its anti-drug campaign, achieving significant breakthroughs in January.
In a series of strategic anti-drug operations across the region, PRO 11 successfully apprehended both high-value targets and street-level individuals engaged in illegal drug activities. The month-long efforts culminated in 288 operations, leading to the arrest of 350 drug suspects. Among those apprehended were 56 High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and 294 Street-Level Individuals (SLIs), with one suspect neutralized during the operations.
The operations resulted in the confiscation of 1,939.8095 grams of shabu, valued at PhP 13,190,704.00, along with 5,295.2635 grams of marijuana worth PhP 635,431.62. Additionally, seven marijuana plants, estimated at PhP 1,400.00, were seized. To ensure legal actions against those apprehended, PRO 11 has already filed 386 cases in court.
PBGEN Rosete emphasized the importance of a holistic approach in the fight against illegal drugs. “This is a testament to our unwavering commitment to eliminating the drug menace in the region. By strengthening our intelligence capabilities, fostering community cooperation, and ensuring our police force operates with integrity and discipline, we will continue to make significant strides in our anti-drug efforts,” he stated.
