With just weeks before the May 2025 national and local elections, the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) reported major gains in its anti-illegal drug campaign, arresting 90 individuals during a series of operations conducted from April 21 to 27 across the Davao Region.

Under the leadership of Regional Director Police Brigadier General Leon Victor Z. Rosete, PRO 11 carried out a total of 75 anti-drug operations that led to the apprehension of 14 High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and 76 Street-Level Individuals (SLIs) involved in illegal drug activities.

The weeklong campaign also resulted in the confiscation of over 294 grams of shabu, valued at ₱3.3 million, and 33.54 grams of marijuana leaves worth ₱17,794.80.

The operations included 57 buy-busts, four services of arrest warrants, six search warrant implementations, two checkpoints, one search incident to lawful arrest, and five police responses.

PBGEN Rosete praised the dedication and perseverance of police units on the ground. “Our police officers remain relentless in our mission to protect our communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs,” he said. “These results are proof that we are serious about our campaign, and we will continue to push even harder despite the busy schedule brought by the upcoming elections.”

He also credited the support and guidance of PNP Chief PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil for encouraging intensified efforts against illegal drug activities in the region.

PRO 11 reiterated its commitment to supporting the Philippine National Police’s national campaign for a drug-free Philippines.
