Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), under the leadership of PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, has announced the successful outcomes of its intensified Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) conducted from January 2 to 6, 2025. These initiatives underscore the region’s unwavering efforts to combat criminality and maintain peace and order in the Davao Region.
During this five-day operation, PRO 11 executed two search warrants—one related to illegal drug cases and another targeting loose firearms. These actions are part of the broader campaign to address critical security challenges in the region.
Crackdown on Illegal Drugs
A total of 64 operations targeting illegal drug activities were conducted, reflecting PRO 11’s strengthened resolve to curtail the proliferation of illegal substances. These operations signify the police’s commitment to addressing drug-related crimes and safeguarding communities.
Arrest of Wanted Persons
The campaign against wanted criminals also saw significant results, with the apprehension of 37 Most Wanted Persons and 51 Other Wanted Persons. These arrests underscore the efficiency and diligence of the police force in resolving high-profile cases and ensuring justice.
Campaign Against Loose Firearms
As part of efforts to combat gun-related violence, PRO 11 successfully seized 69 small arms across the region. The absence of confiscated light weapons during this period highlights the focused strategy on localized small arms control. This accomplishment demonstrates the determination to disarm individuals illegally possessing firearms, thereby enhancing public safety.
Crackdown on Illegal Gambling and Other Violations
In its campaign against illegal gambling, PRO 11 conducted 19 successful operations, apprehending violators and reinforcing the importance of lawful conduct. Additionally, enforcement efforts under other special laws resulted in 1,391 cases, showcasing the comprehensive approach of PRO 11 in addressing diverse forms of criminality.
