Cotabato, Philippines – In a relentless campaign against criminality, Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) successfully apprehended two most wanted individuals charged with rape in separate operations conducted on December 10, 2024, in Cotabato.

The first operation took place in Brgy. Midpapan 2, Pigcawayan, Cotabato, where joint elements of Pigcawayan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Cotabato Provincial Police Office (CPPO), and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) North Cotabato Provincial Field Unit served a warrant of arrest against a suspect identified as alias “Intoy,” 22 years old. The suspect, charged with rape, is now in the custody of Pigcawayan MPS for proper legal procedures.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation at Sitio Matambabay, Brgy. Cabpangi, Libungan, Cotabato, PRO 12 operatives arrested alias “Makoy,” 35 years old, who is listed as the Top 9 Most Wanted Person at the regional level. The joint personnel of Libungan MPS, the 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Unit 12, 1203rd Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12, Regional Intelligence Division 12, and the North Cotabato Provincial Highway Patrol Team served the warrant for two counts of rape. The suspect is currently detained at Libungan MPS.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Officer-In-Charge of Police Regional Office 12, commended the operatives for their dedication. “These operations demonstrate our unwavering commitment to bringing justice to the victims of heinous crimes. Let this serve as a strong message that no criminal can evade the long arm of the law,” he said.

He added, “This endeavor reaffirms our dedication to public safety and our resolve to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions. I urge the community to continue supporting our efforts as we strive for a safer and more secure region.”

These arrests highlight the intensified campaign of PRO 12 against all forms of criminality, ensuring the safety and security of communities across SOCCSKSARGEN.
