General Santos City, Philippines – Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) successfully carried out a buy-bust operation on December 11, 2024, as part of the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO). The operation, led by Officer-In-Charge PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, took place along the National Highway in Buayan, General Santos City.

The joint effort by operatives of Police Station 3 of the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO), Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 12, and the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 12 resulted in the arrest of two street-level individuals identified by their aliases “NJ” and “Jay.”

During the operation, authorities confiscated the following items from the suspects:

  • One medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu as the buy-bust item,
  • 19 additional medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu,
  • A Php1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, and
  • A white mobile phone.

The seized illegal drugs weighed a total of 31.2 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of Php212,160.00. The arrested individuals are currently in police custody, facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).

PBGEN Ardiente commended the team’s efforts, stating, “Congratulations to the operating team. Your recent accomplishment manifests PRO 12’s commitment to creating a drug-free and peaceful community where everyone is safe and secure.”

The successful operation reflects PRO 12’s dedication to its anti-criminality campaign, contributing to the government’s broader efforts to combat illegal drugs and ensure the safety of local communities.
