KALILANGAN, Bukidnon — Police arrested a 34-year-old man and seized an estimated 25.50 grams of suspected shabu with a reported street value of ₱173,400 during a buy-bust operation in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, on September 6, 2026.

The operation was conducted at Purok 1, Barangay West Poblacion, by personnel of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10), the 1004th Company of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Battalion, and the 2nd Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).

The arrested suspect was identified by police as alias “Kayo,” 34, a resident of Barangay Sinangguyan, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.

Police said the operation resulted in the recovery of three heat-sealed sachets containing what authorities believed to be shabu. One sachet was reportedly the item used in the consummated buy-bust transaction, while the other two were allegedly recovered from the suspect as possession items.

Authorities also recovered the ₱500 buy-bust money, a coin pouch and a cellular phone allegedly in the suspect’s possession.

The total suspected drug haul was estimated at 25.50 grams and placed by authorities at approximately ₱173,400 in value.

Following the operation, the suspect was taken into custody at the Kalilangan MPS, where he remained pending appropriate disposition and the preparation of charges.

Police said the suspect may face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The seized substances are expected to undergo the required laboratory examination and documentation as part of the investigation and case build-up.

Authorities continue to conduct anti-illegal drug operations across Bukidnon as part of the government’s campaign against the distribution and possession of prohibited drugs. The arrest and seizure, however, remain subject to the filing of formal charges and the outcome of the appropriate legal proceedings.
