Mindanao residents are advised to brace for widespread rain and possible flash floods or landslides as cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms are expected across the island, according to PAGASA’s latest regional weather forecast.
The southwest monsoon continues to affect the western sections of Mindanao, including Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, and SOCCSKSARGEN, while the rest of Mindanao will experience thunderstorms due to a Low Pressure Area (LPA) estimated at 340 km east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.
Zamboanga Peninsula
All provinces in the Zamboanga Peninsula, including Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City, will experience cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 32°C. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest to west, with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 1.5 meters).

In the provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental, cloudy skies with thunderstorms are expected. Temperatures will vary from 19°C to 32°C, with light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
Davao Region
The provinces of Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, and Metro Davao will experience cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms due to the influence of the LPA. Temperatures are expected to range between 23°C and 34°C, with southwest to west winds and coastal conditions ranging from slight to moderate.
Caraga Region
Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands will also experience rainy weather with isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 23°C to 34°C. Winds will be light to moderate, and seas will be slight to moderate.
