On June 3, 2025, a joint operation by the NBI Southeastern Mindanao Regional Office XI, NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division (HTHRAD) Manila, and DSWD Region XI raided a suspected cybersex trafficking den in Barangay San Jose, Lupon, Davao Oriental at around 11 a.m.
Three suspects were arrested: Jackylou (31 years old), her husband Victor (34), and his older brother Alberto (40), all residents of the area. The NBI confirmed the suspects were caught livestreaming sexual abuse of minors, some as young as 13 years old or younger, to foreign clients in exchange for money.
Authorities seized computers, video cameras, cellphones, lights, and other equipment used in recording and broadcasting the abuse. Shockingly, one rescued minor was the child of the arrested couple.
The rescued minors and suspects underwent medico-legal exams at the Davao Oriental Medical Center, with DSWD staff assisting. The suspects are now detained at Mati City Police Station and will face inquest proceedings at the Mati City court.
Victor denied involvement but admitted knowledge that his wife communicated online with foreigners.
The NBI urges vigilance and reporting of any child exploitation cases as the fight against cybersex trafficking continues.
