DAVAO CITY — A high-value drug suspect tagged as a “Top Priority Illegal Drug Personality” was arrested in a predawn anti-drug operation that led to the seizure of suspected shabu worth ₱714,000 in Barangay Angliongto on Friday, April 3, 2026.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Boss,” 43, a resident of Barangay Tubod, Iligan City, was apprehended during a joint buy-bust operation conducted at around 4:11 a.m. along Bypass Road near Punad Bridge.
The operation was spearheaded by the Sasa Police Station Drug Enforcement Team, in coordination with the City Intelligence Unit of the Davao City Police Office (CIU-DCPO), the 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies (CMFC), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Authorities recovered approximately 105 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect, with an estimated street value of ₱714,000 based on standard drug pricing. Also confiscated were the marked buy-bust money, a mobile phone, personal cash, and other non-drug paraphernalia believed to be linked to illegal drug transactions.
In addition, the suspect’s white Ford Ranger, allegedly used in his drug activities, was seized by authorities.
Police said the suspect is currently under custody as charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of illegal drugs) under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared.
Law enforcement officials described the operation as a significant accomplishment in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, emphasizing their continued commitment to dismantling drug networks and maintaining peace and order in the community.
“This successful operation reflects our intensified efforts to go after high-value targets involved in the illegal drug trade,” authorities said.
The arrest underscores the sustained collaboration among law enforcement agencies in combating narcotics, particularly in urban centers like Davao City, where authorities continue to monitor and neutralize drug-related activities.
