TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte — A top priority illegal drug personality was arrested by operatives of the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) during the implementation of a search warrant that resulted in the seizure of approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱340,000, authorities reported.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bryan,” was apprehended at around 10:22 a.m. on March 13, 2026, during a police operation conducted in Purok 3-A, Barangay La Filipina, Tagum City.

The operation was carried out through the service of Search Warrant No. 322-2026, issued on March 12, 2026 by the Regional Trial Court Branch 30, Judicial Region 11.

Authorities said the joint operation was spearheaded by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11 (RPDEU 11) led by PCPT Marc Jaeson Kristoffer O. Culaste, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Maynard D. Pascual, Chief of RPDEU 11.

They were supported by personnel from the Tagum City Police Station, headed by PCPT Aris B. Abenoja under the supervision of PLTCOL Frederick E. Deles, Chief of Police. Additional operational support was provided by the 1st Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company SWAT Team, led by PCPT Mick A. Puerto under PLTCOL Jay Dema Ala.

During the implementation of the warrant, operatives recovered one knot-tied transparent plastic cellophane containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The substance has an estimated weight of about 50 grams and an estimated Standard Drug Price of ₱340,000.

Authorities also confiscated a black sling bag believed to have been used in the suspect’s illegal drug activities.

Police said all confiscated items were properly marked and inventoried at the scene in the presence of the suspect and required witnesses, in compliance with established legal procedures and protocols.

Police Regional Office 11 Regional Director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete reiterated the Philippine National Police’s firm stance against illegal drugs, warning individuals involved in the trade that authorities will continue their relentless pursuit.

“To those who continue to engage in illegal drug activities, consider this a clear warning. PRO 11 will not stop pursuing you. Our operations will remain relentless until those responsible are held accountable before the law,” Rosete said.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the Tagum City Police Station, while authorities are preparing the appropriate drug-related charges for filing through inquest proceedings.

Police said the operation forms part of the PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the Davao Region, aimed at dismantling drug networks and apprehending high-value targets involved in the illicit trade.
