TAGUM CITY — Five individuals, including the primary target, were arrested during a successful buy-bust operation conducted on Thursday, December 26, 2025, in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City.

Authorities identified the main suspect as alias “DAM”, a 45-year-old married woman and resident of Purok 3, Dagohoy in the same barangay. She was apprehended after selling one (1) heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu to an undercover police officer using a marked PHP 500 bill and five photocopied PHP 1,000 bills.

Police also caught four others—who were reportedly in the middle of a “shabu pot session” behind the house—namely:
alias Rollemer, 40, embalmer and husband of the subject;
alias John, 34, electrician/lineman and resident of Purok Talisay 1, Visayan Village; and
alias “Badjao”, 37, carpenter and resident of Purok Panitan, San Isidro.

Recovered from the suspects were multiple heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu:
• two (2) sachets from alias Rollemer,
• one (1) sachet from alias John, and
• one (1) sachet from alias “Badjao.”

Police also seized an improvised tooter and a black coin purse from Rollemer.

Based on the Standard Drug Price, the confiscated illegal drugs amount to an estimated PHP 13,600, weighing approximately two (2) grams.

All five suspects are now detained at the Tagum City Police Station and will face charges for violating Sections 5, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The police reiterated their firm stance against illegal drugs, assuring continuous operations to curb drug activities in the city.
