VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Police authorities arrested four individuals in two separate anti-drug operations conducted in Barangay Lumbo, Valencia City, as part of intensified efforts to curb illegal drug activities in the area.

In the first operation, carried out at around 8:56 p.m. on February 7, 2026, at Purok 3A, Barangay Lumbo, operatives arrested two suspects identified only by their aliases “Gil,” 39, and “Win,” 40.
Police identified “Gil” as a caretaker of a piggery and a resident of Pangantucan, Bukidnon, while “Win” is an unemployed resident of Kadingilan, Bukidnon. Authorities withheld their real identities to protect their legal rights and ensure due process.
During the operation, law enforcers confiscated suspected illegal drugs valued at approximately ₱173,400, along with drug paraphernalia and other items believed to be linked to illicit activities.
The buy-bust was led by the Bukidnon Police Drug Enforcement Unit (BUK-PDEU) under the supervision of its chief, in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Valencia City Police Station, and the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team (CADSUT). The operation was conducted under PDEA Pre-Operation Number 11-00-02072026-041 and TIP Control Number B01-BUK-PDEU-2026.
The suspects are currently detained at the Valencia City Police Station and are undergoing proper documentation and inquest proceedings for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165).
Earlier Buy-Bust Leads to Two More Arrests
Meanwhile, in a separate operation on February 6, 2026, at about 8:38 p.m., police arrested two other individuals at Purok 8, Sitio Pacangan, Barangay Lumbo.
The suspects were identified as alias “Boss,” 36, a farmer and a listed drug personality from Barangay Lumbo, and alias “Dedil,” 27, a technician and resident of Maramag, Bukidnon.
The joint operation was carried out by the Valencia City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Bryan Mesa Panganiban, Chief of Police, in coordination with CADSUT, RPDEU-10, RMFB-10, 2nd PMFC, BUKPPO, PDEA Region 10, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
Authorities seized suspected illegal drugs with an estimated standard value of ₱71,400, along with non-drug evidence.
The confiscated items were brought to the Valencia City Police Station and were later turned over to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination.
Cases for violations of Sections 5 (illegal sale) and 11 (illegal possession) under Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing against the suspects.
LGU, Police Reaffirm Commitment vs. Illegal Drugs
City officials reaffirmed their strong stance against illegal drugs, emphasizing that the campaign is a top priority to ensure public safety and community welfare.
The local government of Valencia City, under the leadership of Mayor Amie Galario and Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez, expressed full support for law enforcement agencies in their sustained anti-drug efforts.
Authorities stressed that the recent arrests serve as a strong warning to individuals involved in the illegal drug trade that the city remains firm and relentless in its campaign against narcotics.
Police also reminded the public that cooperation and vigilance are crucial in maintaining peace and order, urging residents to report suspicious activities to authorities.
They further assured that all operations are conducted in accordance with the law, with respect for human rights, and with strict adherence to due process.
