VALENCIA CITY, BUKIDNON — A 41-year-old farmer was arrested in a coordinated anti-drug operation early morning on November 28, 2025, after police forces served a Search and Seizure Warrant at Purok 5, Upper Sugod.

The suspect, known only as alias Ayong, was taken into custody at around 6:15 a.m. by operatives of the Valencia City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) under the supervision of PLTCOL Bryan Mesa Panganiban, in partnership with the 1003rd Maneuver Company of the RMFB 10, the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team (CADSUT) of the Office of the City Mayor, and with coordination from the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of Bukidnon PPO.

Authorities recovered the following items from the suspect’s possession and control:

  • One unit of .45 caliber Remington Rand pistol
  • Two steel magazines for a .45 pistol
  • Twelve pieces of .45 caliber cartridges
  • Suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱68,800

The confiscated drug evidence was turned over to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination, while the non-drug evidence and the suspect were brought to the Valencia City Police Station for proper disposition.

Charges for violations of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) are now being prepared for filing in court.

Local officials lauded the successful enforcement action. Mayor Amie Galario and the 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez, reaffirmed their full support for ongoing police and inter-agency initiatives to strengthen the city’s campaign against illegal drugs.

The arrest of alias Ayong forms part of Valencia City’s intensified Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO), which continue to target individuals involved in drug trafficking and other criminal activities across the city.
