Davao City — Authorities arrested an alleged big-time drug pusher in a buy-bust operation that yielded over ₱3.5 million worth of suspected shabu in Barangay Dumoy, Davao City, on Monday afternoon, November 10, 2025.

The suspect, identified only as alias “Warlito,” 53, was apprehended by operatives of the Regional Special Enforcement Team–Davao City Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11, in coordination with Police Precinct 17 (Baliok Police Station). The operation took place at around 5:10 p.m. along Farland Extension, Dumoy.

According to the PDEA, the suspect was caught red-handed after selling one medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to an undercover agent posing as a buyer.

A subsequent search led to the recovery of 15 sachets of suspected shabu of varying sizes, weighing about 520 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱3,536,000. Also seized were the marked buy-bust money and other drug paraphernalia.

The operation was part of PDEA’s intensified anti-drug campaign under the leadership of Director III Edgar T. Jubay, Regional Director of PDEA XI, which aims to dismantle major drug networks operating across Davao Region.

The suspect is now under PDEA custody and will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to curbing illegal drug activities in Davao City and the entire region, emphasizing that the crackdown against high-value drug targets will continue without letup.
