Mindanao residents can expect generally fair weather conditions today, October 5, 2025, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies prevailing across the island. However, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warns of localized thunderstorms that could bring sudden downpours, flash floods, or landslides in certain areas, especially during severe thunderstorm episodes.

According to the Mindanao PAGASA Regional Services Division (MINPRSD) based in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, light to moderate winds will prevail throughout Mindanao today until early Monday morning. Western Mindanao will experience winds from the southwest to northwest, while other parts of the island will have winds from the northeast to north, both resulting in slight to moderate seas ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters.

Zamboanga Peninsula

Zamboanga City and the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City will have partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms throughout the day.
Temperatures will range from 24°C to 34°C, with light to moderate winds from the southwest to northwest and slight to moderate coastal seas.

Northern Mindanao

The provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental are forecast to experience warm daytime weather with isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon or evening.
Temperature range is expected between 19°C and 31°C inland and 24°C to 31°C along coastal areas. Winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to northwest, with slight to moderate seas.

Davao Region

Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental will see partly cloudy skies with possible scattered rainshowers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
Temperatures are expected between 23°C and 34°C, with light to moderate winds from the northeast to north and slight to moderate coastal waters.

SOCCSKSARGEN Region

North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with brief afternoon or evening thunderstorms.
Temperature range will be from 23°C to 33°C, with light to moderate winds from the southwest to northwest and slight to moderate seas.

Caraga Region

Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands are forecast to have generally fair weather with chances of localized thunderstorms, particularly along coastal and mountainous areas.
Temperature range will be between 23°C and 33°C, with light to moderate winds from the northeast to northwest and slight to moderate seas.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur will experience intermittent cloudy periods and scattered thunderstorms.
Temperature range will be from 21°C to 33°C, with light to moderate winds from the southwest to northwest and slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA reminds residents, especially those in low-lying and mountainous areas, to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Fisherfolk and small sea craft are also advised to take precautions when venturing into coastal waters as seas may become occasionally moderate.
