EL SALVADOR CITY, Misamis Oriental — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, reported that easterlies — or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean — are currently affecting the eastern section of Mindanao, bringing cloudy skies and scattered rain showers in several areas across the island.
According to the Mindanao PAGASA Regional Services Division (MINPRSD), the Caraga and Davao Regions will experience mostly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms throughout the day due to the influence of easterlies. Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas are advised to remain alert for possible flash floods and landslides during episodes of moderate to heavy rain.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will generally have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. PAGASA also warned of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
