GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Authorities confiscated more than ₱1.1 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two high-value individuals (HVIs) in a buy-bust operation along Royeca Boulevard, Purok 3, Rajah Muda, Barangay Bula, on October 1, 2025.

Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12), identified the suspects as a 37-year-old resident of Talitay, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, and a 43-year-old resident of Barangay Calumpang, General Santos City. Both are listed as HVIs in the regional drug watchlist.

The joint operation was carried out by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU 12) under Police Major Dave B. Abarra, with support from the Regional Intelligence Unit 12 (RIU 12), Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group – Special Operations Unit 12 (PDEG SOU 12), and Police Station 6 of the General Santos City Police Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 12.

Confiscated during the sting were 165 grams of suspected shabu packed in 11 sachets, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱1,122,000. Also seized were ₱24,000 in buy-bust money, ₱400 in cash, a Bajaj motorcycle used by the suspects, and other non-drug items relevant to the case.

The seized evidence has been turned over to the Regional Forensic Unit 12 for examination, while the suspects are detained at Police Station 6 pending the filing of formal charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“This successful operation demonstrates our firm resolve to break the supply chain of illegal drugs in SOCCSKSARGEN. PRO 12 will continue to hunt down high-value targets and ensure that drug syndicates will have no place to thrive in our communities,” PBGEN Ardiente said.
