Kalilangan, Bukidnon – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station on May 14, 2025, at Purok 1A, Barangay Bang-bang, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.
The operation was led by PCPT Romeo M. Arcilla Jr., Officer-in-Charge of Kalilangan MPS, in coordination with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, and the 1004th Company of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).
Authorities apprehended a 31-year-old male suspect, known by the alias “Idon,” who is considered a high-value individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade. Seized from the suspect was a total of 167.8 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 1,141,040.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspect.
The confiscated items and the suspect were brought to the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station for documentation. The evidence will be forwarded to the Provincial Forensic Unit for further qualitative and quantitative examination.
In a statement, PCol Culaway lauded the efforts of the operating units, saying, “The successful police operation serves as a warning to those engaged in all forms of illegal activities — PNP Bukidnon will not rest until our streets are safe and drug-free.”
Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations throughout the province.
