Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) has intensified its campaign against illegal drugs under the leadership of PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, Regional Director. This relentless effort resulted in significant accomplishments throughout February, focusing on the arrest of drug peddlers and the dismantling of drug dens across the Davao Region.

Throughout the month, PRO 11 conducted a total of 254 police operations, leading to the arrest of 324 individuals. Among those apprehended, 74 were classified as High-Value Individuals (HVI), including those listed as Top 10 priority targets, while 250 were identified as Street-Level Individuals (SLI). These arrests stemmed from a series of intelligence-driven and anti-illegal drug operations, reinforcing the region’s commitment to eradicating the drug menace. Following these operations, a total of 319 cases were filed in court.

The crackdown resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP 60,680,615.92. Authorities seized 8,821.8543 grams of shabu valued at PhP 59,988,609.24, with a notable operation on February 14 at Oakwood Residence, Purok 2, Barangay New Visayas, Panabo City, Davao del Norte, where 6.537 kilograms of shabu worth PhP 44,451,600.00 were recovered.

Additionally, law enforcement agents confiscated 5,228.3890 grams of marijuana leaves worth PhP 627,406.68 and uprooted 323 marijuana plants valued at PhP 64,600.00, further curbing the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.

The swift and coordinated efforts of PRO 11, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, highlight the determination of authorities to dismantle the illegal drug trade in Davao. The regional office continues to support the holistic approach of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil by strengthening intelligence operations, enhancing community engagement, and ensuring strict law enforcement.

PBGEN Rosete commended the dedication and perseverance of the personnel involved in these operations, emphasizing the critical role of public support in the ongoing anti-drug campaign.

“These accomplishments prove our unwavering commitment to ensuring peace and order are well maintained, with the active support of the community. We will not yield in our fight against illegal drugs, which destroy many lives and communities,” he said.

PRO 11 remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard the region from the harmful effects of illegal drugs, urging the public to continue cooperating with authorities in reporting illegal activities and promoting a drug-free society.
