Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – A major anti-illegal drug operation conducted on March 25, 2025, in Purok 12, Brgy. Canatan, Asuncion, Davao del Norte, led to the arrest of two drug suspects and the confiscation of illegal substances worth millions of pesos.
Law enforcement authorities apprehended alias “Taher,” classified as a High-Value Target (HVT), and alias “Boy,” identified as a Street-Level Individual (SLI). The joint buy-bust operation resulted in the seizure of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP 3,740,000.00.
Authorities recovered 11 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. Additionally, one genuine 1,000-peso bill with 199 machine copies, drug paraphernalia, and other non-drug items were confiscated.
The successful operation was part of the intensified anti-illegal drug campaign of the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), in close coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The initiative aligns with the strategic directive of Philippine National Police Chief, PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, to combat illegal drug activities and apprehend key drug figures.
PRO 11 reiterated its commitment to a drug-free Davao Region, emphasizing continued efforts to dismantle drug networks and ensure public safety.
