CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A high-value drug suspect and a minor were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by law enforcement personnel in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, on March 27, 2025.
The Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the 2nd Platoon of the 1004th Maneuver Company (MC) of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB10) and the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), successfully apprehended the two suspects in Purok 6, Barangay West Poblacion.
Authorities identified the arrested individuals as alias “Bornok,” a 21-year-old classified as a high-value target, and a 17-year-old minor. Both are residents of Wao, Lanao del Sur and were newly identified in illegal drug activities.
Seized from the suspects were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The confiscated drugs weighed approximately 105.15 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of PhP715,020.00.
The arrested individuals are currently under the custody of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. A case for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them.
Police Brigadier General Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), commended the successful operation and reiterated the commitment of law enforcement to eradicating illegal drugs in the region.
“This successful operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the fight against illegal drugs. PRO10 will be relentless in its efforts to rid Northern Mindanao of this menace,” PBGEN De Guzman stated.
He further assured the public that PRO10 remains steadfast in its dedication to maintaining peace and order through intensified anti-criminality and anti-drug operations.
