Kalilangan, Bukidnon – A joint anti-drug operation conducted by the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, along with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit (BUK PIU), 1004th Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 10), Regional Special Operations Team (RSOT RMU 10), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 10), led to the arrest of a high-value drug suspect on February 27.
The operation, held at Purok 2, Central Poblacion, Kalilangan, resulted in the apprehension of a 32-year-old male resident of Purok 12, South Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon. Authorities seized approximately 55.70 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 378,760.00.
Following the arrest, the suspect was charged with violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for further examination.
Police officials commended the operating units for their efforts in combating illegal drug activities in Bukidnon, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring a safer community.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the suspect’s possible connections to larger drug syndicates in the region.
