In a series of anti-drug operations, the Drug Enforcement Units of the Davao del Norte Provincial Police Office (DNPPO) achieved significant milestones in their ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. Over two consecutive days, law enforcement officers carried out a total of seven operations, resulting in multiple arrests and the confiscation of illegal substances.
From 6:00 AM on January 3, 2025, to 6:00 AM on January 4, 2025, the DNPPO conducted five successful operations. These efforts led to the apprehension of six individuals and the seizure of 2.5371 grams of shabu. The following day, from 6:00 AM on January 4, 2025, to 6:00 AM on January 5, 2025, two additional operations were executed, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of 0.47 grams of shabu.
PCOL Alexander R. Serrano Jr., Provincial Director of the DNPPO, praised the dedication and effectiveness of the operating units. “Pulis DavNor will never rest so long as there are illegal drug peddlers in Davao del Norte,” he stated, underscoring the police force’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a drug-free community.
The Provincial Director also called on the public to strengthen their cooperation with law enforcement. He emphasized the importance of providing vital information that could lead to successful operations. “We urge parents to remain vigilant and to guide their children, ensuring they are protected from the influence of illegal drugs,” PCOL Serrano added.
These operations are part of a broader initiative aimed at dismantling the illegal drug trade in the province. Authorities continue to encourage community involvement, highlighting that public support is essential in the fight against illegal drugs.
