GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A tragic shooting incident marred the festive season in General Santos City just hours before Christmas.
The victim, identified as Marlon Donato, a tricycle driver and resident of Purok 2 New Society, Barangay Apopong, was fatally shot. Tragically, a young passenger, a baby aged 1 year and 10 months, was also injured but is now in a stable condition, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred at around 9:15 PM in Purok Buan, Barangay Sinawal.
Initial investigations suggest that the motive for the shooting may be linked to a personal dispute involving Donato. The police are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect or suspects involved.
This incident has cast a somber shadow over what is typically a joyful time of year, with the community expressing grief and concern over the violence.
