Davao de Oro, Philippines — A series of successful anti-illegal drug operations conducted by law enforcement in Davao de Oro underscores the authorities’ dedication to combating illegal drugs and maintaining public safety.

On December 13, 2024, at 9:17 AM, the Compostela Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office, conducted a search warrant operation in Barangay San Miguel, Compostela. The operation led to the arrest of a suspect known as alias “Sam.” Confiscated during the operation were illegal drugs and a .38 caliber firearm. Both the suspect and the seized items are currently under police custody for proper disposition.

Later that day, at approximately 11:30 AM, a High-Value Individual (HVI) was apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Laak. The operation, conducted in compliance with PNP protocols on body-worn cameras and in the presence of barangay and media witnesses, resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs. The suspect and the evidence are now under police custody, pending further investigation.

Meanwhile, on December 15, 2024, the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office executed a search warrant in Purok Samahan, Barangay Cabuyoan, Mabini. The operation resulted in the arrest of an individual for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Republic Act 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives).

These accomplishments highlight the unwavering efforts of the Davao de Oro Police in enforcing the law, addressing criminal activities, and ensuring peace and security in the province. Authorities reaffirm their commitment to keeping communities safe from the dangers of illegal drugs and related crimes.
