In a series of coordinated law enforcement operations on December 10, 2024, authorities successfully apprehended three of Sarangani Province’s most wanted individuals, including two high-profile suspects from Malungon and one from Glan.

Arrest of Malungon’s Top 1 Most Wanted

The first operation, dubbed Manhunt Charlie, involved joint efforts by the Malungon Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Sarangani Provincial Police Office (SPPO). This operation led to the arrest of alias “Adel”, a 64-year-old female farmer residing in Barangay Atla-e, Malungon, Sarangani Province.

Alias “Adel” was wanted for Attempted Murder under Criminal Case No. 003854-24, with a bail bond set at PHP 120,000. The warrant of arrest was issued by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 49, Alabel, Sarangani Province, dated November 4, 2024. The suspect is now under the custody of Malungon Police Station for proper disposition.

Apprehension of Top 10 Most Wanted (Regional Level)

In another operation, the joint efforts of Alabel Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Division 12 (RID-12), and the 1st PMFC-Sarangani led to the arrest of alias “Lanoy” at Barangay Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province.

Alias “Lanoy,” listed as the Top 10 Most Wanted Person at the regional level, was wanted for Arson under Criminal Case No. 03774-24. The warrant of arrest was issued by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 47, Alabel, Sarangani Province, on September 27, 2024. A bail bond of PHP 120,000 was recommended. Following the arrest, the suspect was informed of her constitutional rights and transported to Alabel Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Capture of Sarangani’s Top 3 Most Wanted

Meanwhile, a separate operation conducted by the Glan Municipal Police Station tracker team, Sarangani 1st PMFC, Regional Intelligence Division 12, Regional Special Operation Group 12, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and MARPSTA Sarangani resulted in the arrest of alias “Tangkay”, a 40-year-old male resident of Purok Kawayan, Barangay Rio Del Pilar, Glan, Sarangani Province.

Alias “Tangkay” faced multiple charges, including Act of Lasciviousness under Criminal Case No. 03855-24(FC) with a bail bond set at PHP 108,000, and Statutory Rape under Criminal Case Nos. 03856-24(FC) and 03857-24(FC), which carried a no-bail status. The warrants were issued by the Presiding Judge of Family Court, Branch 10, Alabel, Sarangani Province, on October 30, 2024. The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and placed under the custody of Glan Police Station.

Coordinated Efforts Lead to Success

These successful operations underscore the commitment of Sarangani law enforcement agencies to uphold peace and order in the province. The coordinated actions of various police units have demonstrated effective collaboration in pursuing justice and ensuring community safety.

All suspects are now undergoing appropriate legal procedures as authorities continue to intensify efforts to apprehend other wanted individuals in the region.
