Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay – A coordinated operation led by the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office (ZSBPPO) successfully apprehended a High-Value Individual (HVI) classified as Priority 10 at the regional level. The arrest took place in Purok 3, Barangay Tambanan, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay, following the execution of a search warrant issued by a competent court.
The operation, conducted in collaboration with Regional Intelligence Division 9 (RID 9), Regional Intelligence Unit 9 (RIU9), the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Naga Municipal Police Station, targeted the suspect for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act).
Seized Contraband
Authorities seized significant contraband during the operation, including:
- Thirteen (13) small-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated street value of Php54,400.00.
- One Colt .45 caliber pistol.
- Two .45 caliber magazines.
- Nine pieces of live ammunition.
The apprehended individual, a legal-aged male resident of Barangay Tambanan, was immediately taken to the Naga Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. Meanwhile, the seized drug evidence was transported to the Zamboanga Sibugay Forensic Unit for both quantitative and qualitative examination.

PCOL Barnard Danie V. Dasugo, Provincial Director of the ZSBPPO, lauded the operation’s success and emphasized the commitment of law enforcement to combat crime in the region.
