General Santos City – A resident of General Santos City, identified as Akmad Usman, was killed after being shot seven times by an armed assailant who fled on a motorcycle on the evening of Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
The incident occurred along a section of Lapu-Lapu Street in Barangay Dadiangas East in General Santos City. Authorities confirmed that the victim was a prominent member of a legal gun club in General Santos City and served as a range officer during shooting competitions held in the area.
The General Santos City Police Office is currently investigating the crime to identify the perpetrator and determine the motive behind the killing.
Usman’s death has sent shockwaves through the local community, particularly among members of the gun club where he was well-respected for his role in promoting safe shooting practices.
