PRO 11’s Week-Long Anti-Drug Operations Lead to Arrest of 83 Drug Personalities in Davao Region

Davao City, Philippines – November 5, 2024

The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) in Davao City, led by Acting Regional Director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, achieved a significant breakthrough in its anti-drug operations from October 28 to November 3, 2024. During this period, authorities conducted 72 successful police operations, resulting in the arrest of 83 individuals involved in drug activities, including 16 identified as High-Valued Individuals (HVIs) and 67 Street-Level Individuals (SLIs).

Among the high-profile arrests was alias “Badi,” the region’s third-highest priority HVI. Law enforcement apprehended “Badi” alongside three associates on November 2 at Block 71, Lot 28, Talisay Street, Capili Subdivision, Barangay Baliok, Davao City. His arrest represents a major success in the ongoing fight against illegal drug trafficking in the region.

The operations led to the seizure of various illegal substances, including 788.3351 grams of shabu valued at PhP 5,360,678.68, 590.519 grams of marijuana leaves, one marijuana plant, and 6.77 grams of cocaine with a street value of PhP 106,943.48.

This week-long effort highlights PRO 11’s commitment to supporting the Philippine National Police’s recalibrated anti-drug strategies, which focus on strengthening intelligence capabilities and deepening community engagement to curb the influence of drug networks across the Davao Region.

These achievements underscore PRO 11’s ongoing dedication to dismantling drug syndicates and protecting communities in the Davao Region from the scourge of illegal drugs.
