Davao City, Philippines – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Davao achieved a significant milestone in October 2024 by surpassing its revenue collection target, highlighting the effectiveness of its revenue strategies and dedication to service.
The Port of Davao collected a total of Php 4,567,898,835.65 in revenue for the month, exceeding its assigned target of Php 4,473,860,000.00 by 2.10%, or Php 94,038,835.65. This accomplishment reflects the port’s ongoing commitment to its mandate of upholding lawful revenue collection.
This success aligns with BOC Commissioner Rubio’s 5-Point Priority Program, which seeks to strengthen revenue collection while ensuring transparency and efficiency within the customs system. Under the leadership of District Collector Maita S. Acevedo, BOC Davao continues to implement robust measures to meet, if not exceed, its revenue targets.
Collector Acevedo credited the port’s achievement to the dedicated efforts of the men and women of Collection District XII, who work tirelessly to uphold BOC’s mandates. Their commitment, she noted, has been instrumental in helping the Port of Davao meet its goals and contribute to the country’s economic development.
The Bureau of Customs’ success in Port of Davao serves as a testament to the positive impacts of strategic leadership and a unified workforce. As BOC Davao moves forward, it remains committed to strengthening revenue collection while supporting Commissioner Rubio’s vision for an accountable and transparent customs administration.
