Authorities Dismantle Drug Den in Lanao del Sur, Arrest Three in Buy-Bust Operation

Wao, Lanao del Sur — In a decisive strike against illegal drug activities, a joint task force successfully dismantled a drug den in Barangay Western, Wao, and apprehended three suspects in a buy-bust operation on November 11, 2024. The operation was executed by agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA RO BARMM), Wao Municipal Police Station, and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) – Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) of Lanao del Sur.

The primary suspect, identified as Saadodin Mitmug Bagul (also known as Titing/Saad), a 26-year-old security guard, was arrested alongside two patrons: Jhon Mark Villasista Tolentino, also known as Biboy, 26, and Jayson Belong Valeria, also known as Boyboy, 28. All three men were detained at the PDEA RO BARMM Jail Facility and are awaiting inquest proceedings on charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

During the operation, authorities seized ten heat-sealed sachets containing approximately 10 grams of shabu (methamphetamine), with an estimated street value of ₱68,000.00. Additionally, buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia were recovered at the scene.

This operation underscores the continued effort of law enforcement agencies in Lanao del Sur to combat drug proliferation and ensure community safety.
