Tricycle Driver Shot Dead Outside Davao City School, Police Investigate Possible Neighbor Dispute

Davao City – Authorities are currently focusing on a possible neighbor dispute as one of the motives behind the fatal shooting of a tricycle driver outside Bago Elementary School in Barangay Bago Gallera, Davao City, on Wednesday.

In an interview with GMA Super Radyo Davao, Police Major Harold Untalan, the chief of Baliok Police Station, revealed that the victim, Ken Roger Pisa, 36, was shot and killed shortly after stepping out of his tricycle in front of the school.

According to Major Untalan, Pisa’s wife informed the police that her husband was scheduled to attend a settlement meeting with a neighbor at the barangay that day. The neighbor had been the subject of a complaint filed by the victim’s family, leading police to consider this as a possible motive behind the attack.

The gunman reportedly fled the scene on a waiting motorcycle, and the police are investigating whether other angles, including issues within the drivers’ association or TODA, may have played a role in the crime.

The grieving wife, who rushed to the scene after hearing the news, expressed her suspicion that the neighbor they had previously complained about might be responsible for her husband’s murder.

“He humiliated us online, posted a photo of my child with a cruel caption. I wanted to talk to him, but he wouldn’t meet with us. We’re neighbors, so I took it to the barangay, but he never showed up. Who else could it be? My husband had no other enemies,” she tearfully shared.

As of now, the police continue their investigation to identify the suspect and establish the true motive behind the shooting.
