Digos City – On October 10, 2024, a joint drug buy-bust operation in Purok Jacosalem, Barangay San Jose, Digos City, led to the arrest of a high-value target, alias “Babo,” who is listed as Regional Target Level No. 6.
Authorities from the City Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit 11, Intel personnel of the 1st Davao Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (DSPMFC), and the 1104th Maneuver Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 11 (RMFB 11), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), carried out the operation.
During the bust, officers confiscated pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a standard street value of PhP 19,720.00, along with other non-drug items.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Digos City Police Station, Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office, where appropriate charges are being prepared.
PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, Acting Regional Director of PRO 11, praised the dedication of the personnel involved in the operation, emphasizing the significance of targeting high-value individuals in the ongoing fight against illegal drugs. He reiterated PRO 11’s commitment to working with national agencies, such as the PDEA, to ensure that the drug trade in the region is continuously disrupted and offenders are brought to justice.
This operation highlights the Philippine National Police’s ongoing efforts to prioritize the apprehension of identified high-value targets in the region’s intensified anti-drug campaign.
