Davao City, Philippines — The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), led by Acting City Director PCOL Hansel M. Marantan, has reinforced its commitment to combating illegal drugs and ensuring public safety, with recent operations yielding substantial results. In just 24 hours, DCPO conducted four anti-drug operations across multiple districts, resulting in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of shabu valued at approximately Php 184,892.
Under PCOL Marantan’s leadership, the DCPO has focused its resources and efforts on dismantling drug networks within the city. These operations have been bolstered by active community engagement, with residents consistently providing valuable information on suspected drug activities. “Our mission is to serve Davao City with sincerity and dedication, creating a safer environment for all,” PCOL Marantan stated, acknowledging the essential role of community support in these achievements.
Breakdown of Recent Operations
The operations, carried out by several police stations and the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), were as follows:
- Sta. Ana Police Station (PS1): Seized shabu valued at Php 76,976.
- San Pedro Police Station (PS2): Confiscated shabu worth Php 4,148.
- Buhangin Police Station (PS5): Apprehended suspects with shabu valued at Php 75,888.
- City Drug Enforcement Unit: Recovered shabu with an estimated value of Php 27,880.

DCPO expressed gratitude for the cooperation of Barangay officials, the community, and the Local Government Unit (LGU), which have been instrumental in supporting these operations.
