More or less 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of Php340,000 were seized from the three drug suspects during a buy-bust operation conducted at Purok Doña Aurora, Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur on August 14, 2024 at around 6:20 PM.
Operatives identified the suspects as Felipe Suarez y Sotto aka “Jan- jan”, 44 years old, male, married, college level, vendor, and a resident of Brgy. Tinasas, Lala, Lanao del Norte; Edmar Cortes y Navarro, 32 years old, male, married, college graduate, jobless and a resident of Brgy. Maranding, Lala, Lanao del Norte; and Alberto Lagumbay y Kaamiño, 43 years old, college level, habal- habal driver and a resident of Brgy. Tinasas, Lala, Lanao del Norte.
Also confiscated from the suspects were one (1) Colt cal .45 pistol, caliber .45 magazines, live ammunitions of caliber .45, white envelope used as buy-bust money container, one bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine Php1,000.00 bill used as buy-bust money, cellular phones, two motorcycles with keys, and one (1) AFP ID named Edmar Navarro Cortes.
A case for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed in court against the three suspects.
