More or less 500 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of Php3,400,000 were seized from two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation conducted at Purok Narra, Barangay Lumbog, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur on August 25, 2024 at around 6:00PM.
Confiscated illegal drugs were placed inside five (5) knot-tied transparent plastic packs. Also confiscated were brown and silver paper bags, a white Bao-Bao, buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.
Arrested suspects were identified as Marecil Cubio Muloc aka “Ating”, 42 years old, female, married, high school level, and a Sari-Sari Store owner; and Jason Palanas y Codion, 20 years old, male, single, high school level, and a Bao-Bao Driver. Both are residents of Purok Santan, Brgy. Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.
Both supects will be charged in court for violation of Section 5, Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Said operation was succesfully conducted by PDEA – Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office, PDEA- Regional Special Enforcement Team, and Margosatubig Municipal Police Station.
