Isulan, Sultan Kudarat — A drug suspect was arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Isulan Municipal Police Station on Thursday afternoon, April 11.
The buy-bust operation, carried out around 4:20 p.m. at Purok Bagong Unlad, Barangay Kalawag 3, resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified only by his alias “Jeofry,” a 44-year-old painter and resident of Barangay Buenaflor, Tacurong City.
Authorities confiscated seven heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 18 grams, with an estimated street value of Php122,400.00. Police also recovered a Php500 bill, which was used as marked money during the transaction.
The suspect and the seized evidence were brought to the Isulan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and further investigation.
PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12, commended the operatives for their successful operation and reaffirmed the Philippine National Police’s commitment to the fight against illegal drugs.
“This accomplishment is a clear manifestation of our intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign in Region 12. We commend our personnel for their commitment and dedication to rid our communities of this menace,” Ardiente said.
The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
