Malaybalay City, Bukidnon – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office X (PDEA RO-X), in coordination with the Malaybalay City Police Station, successfully dismantled a hidden drug den and apprehended three suspected drug personalities in a buy-bust operation on March 28, 2025, in Barangay Simaya, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Authorities, acting on intelligence reports, discovered that the drug den was concealed in an underground basement within a residential house, allegedly serving as a hub for illegal drug activities.
The individuals arrested during the operation were identified as:
- Alias “Boboy,” 44 years old, resident of Barangay Simaya, Malaybalay City
- Alias “Kris,” 19 years old, single, resident of Barangay Simaya, Malaybalay City
- Alias “Reneboy,” 45 years old, resident of Barangay Simaya, Malaybalay City, and a graduate of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP)
During the operation, law enforcement seized approximately six grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 40,800.00.
The suspects are now facing charges for violations under Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA reiterated its commitment to eradicating illegal drug activities in the region and called on the public to support the campaign by reporting any suspicious activities in their communities.
